Narrator intro-

As The Great Gatsby opens, Nick Carraway, the story’s narrator, remembers his upbringing and the lessons his family taught him. one of Nick’s best quality is his language (style and point of view). we see this through some of nick quotes during the text such as ” turning over in my mind”- metaphor

Nick’s father says to him “just remember all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had”

While Nick experienced the story as it unfolded as a central participant — affording him a uniquely intimate view of events
